@nataliefitzie I am not sure if I am answering this correctly. But I feel I have done this by teaching more than just the teks and teaching them in different ways. It would be easy to just keep doing the same thing the same way every day. I have tried to gently push the kids with new ideas

@nataliefitzie I have given points for great behavior in the classroom, walking down the hall correctly, lining up quickly and quietly, etc. any time I caught them with good behavior. Then every two or three days I gave out that many goodies using my kagan student selector!

@nataliefitzie Teaching kinder for so long my that is what I mainly know. Skippy Jon Jones, Pete the Cat, Dr. Seuss still a favorite, Eric Carle. Gosh so many. For third grade I have to say i have not found a favorite. We are reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and they are loving it!

@nataliefitzie I read to them and with them. I will see them reading and stop and ask them questions. I show alot@of excitement in what they are reading. I love it when they tell me something really fascinating they read in the book. I get very excited and thank them for sharing it with me.
