“With Carlos, I'm observing how he builds the team around him, how he's able to develop the car in a direction that suits him well. There are many things I've learned from him. I'm in a fortunate position where I can sit and look at his data, either alone in the office or with an engineer next to me explaining how he does certain things.

“In Monaco he did a pretty incredible lap in Q1 to make it through, and doing an out lap and then pushing hard on cold tires is no easy feat. I won't go into much more detail, but it's very impressive how he got the tires into the right window.”
