Came across a tiktok live and the lady was match making people.

The thing that got my attention was how almost all the women were not doing anything serious for themselves, but were quick to ask the men what they do for a living.

One guy mentioned that he was into pop and the girls started laughing at him.

This is something we need to address in our society. If somebody cannot pay his rent or feed, it says a lot about the people in his life. We need to stop acting like life is individual and we don’t need people. The problem is that we have validated dropping people when life happens to them and ignoring the reality of vulnerable people in our circle.

If you hear somewhere that Yomyom cannot afford to pay his rent, it says a lot about me as a friend. No story! Why would you have friends or family that can cover it and it is not covered. If my friend dies, I have a responsibility to see that his family does not suffer and his kids go to good schools. It is very easy for me to say that because I’m good, I live in a good place and can sort my bills alone, and my family does not need my money to survive, I expect every man to carry all the financial responsibility because that is masculinity blah blah blah.
