Battlefield 6 was the best selling game of 2025 and the best selling BF game of all time.
Now it's fighting for player retention due to an underwhelming live service & design choices that have backfired.
Here's how DICE had a hit, then lost it.

Two prevailing (and competing) thoughts:
- I don't think praise should be given for including features that should have been here from the start of the game (re: server browser, spectator, BR solos).
- The roadmap itself is promising and I hope they stick the landing.
Your 2026 roadmap unfolds across three seasons, with large-scale maps, Ranked, spectator mode, and more.
The battle expands with more still waiting to be revealed π₯
What are you most hyped for?
In today's absolutely shocking news: Battlefield Studios continue to waste resources they don't have on more limited time modes we don't want, the newest update contain virtually nothing, and player numbers continue to plummet despite EA's best efforts to advertise.

Can't wait for the bad news bears to jump on this one when this in all likely hood was used to catch up on SP after they (reportedly) had to start from scratch after Lehto left and his studio was shut down.
I don't like AI but I think this context is important.
Battlefield 6 devs used multiple AI tools during development, including Voice2Face (speech to animation AI software) and FaceRig (character face creation AI software), to 'speed up development'

Discussing #Battlefield gunplay is challenging and its not a topic I consider to be in my lane. Regardless, the past few BF titles have had map design impacted by weapon mechanics and its time that was addressed, although I certainly missed some topics.

I'm genuinely so tired of seeing these accounts just straight rip clips from Reddit and try to make money off of people that probably won't notice/won't care if their clips are reposted.
I mean we are posting bot clips now lmao.
Because if these accounts used clips from anyone notable/makes content, they'd actually have to ask permission beyond just posting their username.
Nuke these accounts into the sun. All the accounts are Dutch so it's probably the same dude too.
@M11122233344454 You assume it was a statement about quality. It was a statement about launch hype and sales numbers that they have failed to capitalize on because the game has issues. But you're busy on your 'mindless consumer' arc judging by your replies, so go off I guess.
COMING SOON.
How Battlefield Studios captured lightning in a bottle with Battlefield 6 and are now letting it slip through their fingers.
A video four months in the making.
@M11122233344454 I know you really hate the game but objectively thatβs a fair statement considering it launched in an idea window and is the best selling game in the history of the franchise.
