Malawi's 7 day average SARS-CoV2 cases is 5, we have detected no Omicron, and we have actively looked for it. Yet we got red listed

@jennifergardy @blprnt Just to add my 2 cents, a long term goal would be to work towards self sufficiency for some reagents eg simple methods for expressing and purifying enzymes would help eliminate the need for cold chain. And sterilizing and reuse of plastics

@kirstynbrunker @nanopore It took me around 4 days, from RNA to consensus, day 1 o/n PCR, day 2 load sequencer (6 hour run), day 3 baseball and upload, day 4 run analysis. we are running on minimal equipment and very slow internet. Cts around the 30 mark.
