We are back! Having a strong relationship with your pitcher is important. Knowing their strengths, pitches, having the trust to block balls when called for something in the dirt and so much more! Don’t lack the importance of knowing your pitcher

As catchers 3 important receiving pieces:
1. Keep strikes strikes, don’t allow the glove to get pushed out of the zone and don’t push strikes away
2. Let balls be balls
3. Win the river, or steal the boarder line pitch!

As much as we value, throwing, blocking, receiving, we also need to make sure we can command the field! We need to be loud, vocal, communicate and lead. All eyes are on you at all times, good body language and field presence is a must! You are the field general!

Thank you Under The Brim, Kevin Schneider and Will Liggins, for coming out yesterday and talking to the team about how there are things bigger than the game.
