Sometimes all you have to do is change location. Harry Kane was never winning this at Spurs.

Who's that remarkable dancer at the #BallonDor event? Wonderful performance.

[Text Bro @Catchoris]

@haleNcrazy Well, to be fair, I wasn't thrilled by the thing. Especially as I don't really see Cynthia Erivo claiming Nigeria like that. But it does have a right to exist.

[Text Bro @Catchoris]

I was wondering when the backlash to the Cynthia Erivo Nollywood/Nigeria Wizard of Oz was going to begin. Looks like it has begun.

@CombRazor Fascinating stuff. Now, if we said turn either of these to an essay...

[Text Bro @Catchoris]

@CombRazor 1. You're not looking at the tweet I'm responding to: "cancel culture" origins.

2. I'm also asking to hear more about the expensive licensing compared with Hygrades and Ofege.

I wonder if it's possible to build a version of Germany's Berghain in Lagos. What a concept.

I recall getting into Berghain around 2016/2018, seeing Elijah Wood play DJ in a dark cavernous hall, and eventually missing the way to my apartment in Neukolln around 3am. Crazy times.

[Jimmy Heaters @CathPoaster]

My experience partying all night at Berghain in Berlin made me think of how we're lacking this experience in the San Francisco tech scene. We can literally become the coolest, most tasteful social scene on Earth if we had our version of Berghain, but better. So let's build it. The best aspect of Berhain is how they select who gets in. The club has a vibe and atmosphere, and if you aren't wearing the right clothes or have the right demeanor, you don't get in. That's how you cultivate a tasteful crowd. We can improve on this by only letting in high agency, talented operators in the tech scene who can still pull off dope outfits, so no geeks. SF is in dire need of late night venues, and Berghain goes until 8am. That's a little too crazy for high net worth operators who are changing the world so we could do something like 2am. Berghain also is kinda dark and in a weird building so we'd put the club in a SoMa corporate office that we convert to speakeasy or barcade vibe. Maybe add a quiet area for people to bring their laptops and work? I honestly feel like we're improving on the Berghain form here, especially by swapping out the crowd of weird partiers in inappropriate clothes (or lack there of) with insanely cracked founders and engineers. I'm super stoked about this idea, SF tech could really run the dopest parties on the planet.

From bad to worse for Thélyson Orélien.

But someone needs to explain the proper use of AI in literature. This guy says he used AI for research; the publisher is cutting ties because they found traces of AI in his manuscript.

Is there fair AI use or no?

Nollywood people can be coy. Why are you not telling us the title of this "thriller"?

I had the previledge of watching a work-in-progress Nigerian film. It is thrilling, wonderful and will make good numbers both locally and internationally.

OPEN LETTER: Sally Rooney is a writer, not a terrorist. Her books must be available to the public. Their withdrawal from sale, on the basis of ill-conceived and draconian anti terror legislation, is an affront to basic principles of free speech and expression so long taken for granted in this country. We categorically reject censorship - whether direct or indirect - and urge the government to change course, amending the legislation which has led us to this point of repressive absurdity.

@kennethgyang You have started again this season. Smh.

[Text Bro @Catchoris]

Arteta's inability to craft a decent attacking team will hurt Arsenal this season. These guys are so slow and bereft of ideas going forward against quality opponents like Bayern.
