Congratulations to our very own Pete Wells from Catcote Futures whose Inclusive Stories Platform has just won the prestigious BETT Award for Best SEND resource 2023. This is a huge award and wonderful recognition of his hard work and commitment to special education.
Catcote Futures are extremely pleased to share the results of our Ofsted Report following our first formal inspection on 12th – 14th July 2022. Our overall grade was GOOD with OUTSTANDING features (‘Personal Development’ and ‘Behaviour and Attitudes.’)
This term some of our learners have been involved in 'Upcycling' a variety of items such as, a bistro set, a clock and many more. They are currently working on a set of drawers. The whole group have worked very hard and shown excellent teamwork skills throughout these sessions!
Reece had a meet and greet with Karen Twidale at Got Mallow. Reece really enjoyed meeting Karen and you can see from his smile how happy he was when he was told he had secured a training place. Karen is going to train Reece to prepare him to work in the cafe. #FocusonwhatweCANdo
This Sunday @catcotefutures@CatcoteAcademy will be holding a stall at the Christmas Fair at the @MiddletonGrange Shopping Centre. The event is on from 10 until 4.

Today, for the first time, student representatives from @catcotefutures took part in 2 Remembrance day parades, one at the Headland and one at Victory Square. The learners took part in the parade, marched well, laid wreathes and observed the 2 minutes silence. #focusonwhatweCANdo
In our cookery 'options' session, @catcotefutures, the students have been applying their functional life skills and social skills. This week, the 'Baker of the Week' is Mark!!! He was amazing on Friday when the group were making healthy crustless quiches. Well Done Mark!!!
