To celebrate @risechain and @Icarus_Fi going public, I thought I'd share some of my own thoughts on why I'm excited about the future.
I think @risextrade is the best competition Hyperliquid has gotten so far, and it comes down to one thing: fairness.
Fees are fair, and more importantly, latency is fair. There is exactly one API latency tier. Institutions and retail sit on the same level. The only zero-latency actor is XLP — everyone else shares the same API latency, regardless if you're Citadel or Ferengi.
That sounds like a small design choice, but it changes what's actually possible on the venue. Retail can deploy market making strategies without getting eaten alive by co-located infra. It opens the door to shorter timeframe strategies, even HFT at the vault level — something that's simply not possible on Hyperliquid today because of the fee structure and latency game.
I'd argue RiseX is the most fair perps venue in existence right now. And I'm not saying that from a biased position. It just is.
Thanks @sam_battenally@sashaaa
Let's keep building the future.
