Tour Auvergne Rhône-Alpes: "I’m really looking forward to pinning on a number again at the Tour Auvergne - Rhône - Alpes. The focus has really shifted towards July - including recon rides of some key stages of the upcoming Tour de France in the Alps with the team - and this race marks the start of our final preparations towards that big goal, including the chance to race up Plateau de Solaison as we will do again in the Grande Boucle.
My 2026 season has been a mix, as I got some good results and then suffered because of crashes and illnesses. These couple of months without racing have given me the opportunity to really reset and I’m looking forward to getting going again.
It’s not going to be an easy race. There is some tough competition, so I’m sure it will be an exciting race for people to watch. I hope to be a key animator for the GC battle.
Getting another opportunity to race a TTT before July will be important as we know that the starting TTT in Barcelona will be key for anyone targeting the GC and I think as a team we have a strong chance of being there fighting for the stage win as well. It has been a key focus for the team too in terms of training, so it will be good to get another in-race experience before July." said Juan Ayuso (@LidlTrek) #TourAuvergneRhoneAlpes #Dauphiné

Giro d'Italia Women: “I’m quite battered, which is only logical after such a hard crash. The Colle del Finestre will be very important with a view to the pink jersey. I will definitely start feeling very stiff. I hope I can recover a bit tonight and still have a good day tomorrow.” said Anna van der Breggen (@teamsdworx) #GirodItaliaWomen
Giro d'Italia Women: Stage 8 Colle delle Finestre 18.5 km (1,694m) 9.2% average gradient. The final 8 km are on gravel!
Who will lead the GC after this monster of a climb?

Giro d'Italia Women: "I’m obviously super happy. I really didn't expect this before the start. We just wanted to keep Demi at the front, but I ended up with a small gap. At first, I thought I’d made a mistake, but in the end, I just kept going.
I really didn't know how to handle the situation. Should I keep riding? Or not? In the end, I was able to play it tactically and had to stay sharp in the finale, because I knew Lucinda Brand would try something.
The goal today was to keep Demi safe, and I think we succeeded. Tomorrow, the main goal is to help her again. She really wants to win the Giro, and everything is focused on her." said Célia Gery 🇫🇷 (@FDJ_SUEZ) #GirodItaliaWomen
Giro d'Italia Women: "At first, I mainly felt sadness. Later came anger about why things turned out this way. The evening of the decision and the second day were very tough.
If it had been the same all the time, I could have accepted it more easily. You could still doubt the equipment, but that it fluctuated, it was even harder.
I had ridden with a single chain-ring before and knew that my bike for Milano Sanremo was also weighed with the same set-up. The UCI weighing annoyed me the most. After the race, we did it again at the hotel. It was perfectly fine then too.
If I hadn’t ridden my sprint according to the rules, you can live with the fact that it’s your own fault. Now it doesn’t feel like I bear any blame.
I would like the UCI to take another look at those regulations. Whether a rider really needs to be punished so severely if there is something wrong with the bike that you, as a rider, have no control over it.
The penalty is too harsh. It is tricky, though. Climbers can benefit from a lightweight bike but on the other hand, I think: are you really going to put minutes on someone if the bike is 20 grams lighter?
It feels like an injustice to me; perhaps a yellow card and a fine for the team would have been better. If you have a bike that is too light a second time, you can be disqualified from the race. That seems more logical to me.
What is most important to me is that there should be no more fluctuations in the measurements. The UCI absolutely needs to look into that." said Lorena Wiebes (@teamsdworx)
