@ollyp3 @sophielouisecc Change in the rules introduced by the previous govt allows asylum seekers who have been waiting 12+ months for determination of their claim where processing delay is not their fault *to apply* to work. Home Office has to consider that application. So checks still have to be made.

@ollyp3 @sophielouisecc When you incorrectly refer to "unknown asylum seekers" I think you mean people coming here from various African and Asian countries (often leaving their families behind) to work in our care sector providing care/support to people who otherwise have to manage without...or not

@juneslater17 This is June who's always telling us how marvellous things were in the past when eg children's behaviour in school was regulated by fear of the cane and all were properly educated in the "3 Rs". Even so as is clear from all June's posts, she didn't pay attention. Do better June.
