The creative team who put this PV together showed us that Valko is a fun, extroverted young man with a vibrant personality who has deep family values. The way he picks up the phone despite being in the middle of a battle shows his respect and reverence for family and those he cares about.
PVs like this are meant to showcase the traits of a character to the audience. This is why even if he only has around 7 minutes of combined promo content, so many of us already like him. For many players he is the LI they’d been waiting for. This means the creative team succeeded in making an attractive and compelling LI that could enchant us.
Personally, I’ve never gravitated toward werewolf tropes, but the way he was presented left me curious about how a Chinese developer would present this archetype.
Despite his height and muscles, he was so graceful and nimble when he moved, which reminded me of the battle choreographies I’ve seen in many traditional Chinese films.
As soon as I saw Valko, I charged diamonds in preparation for him and his Memories, added months to my Aurum pass, and waited excitedly for the launch date by asking for time off work.
This character deserves to be experienced by everyone who waited for him.
Most importantly, the team who worked tirelessly to develop him, who are proud of creating this Eastern werewolf, deserve to have their creation known by us. In the era of AI, when so much slop is being created, the value of real artists should be respected by letting their creations live in media.
Love and Deepspace is a game that has always represented love and the freedom to love. It subverts tropes masterfully and show us there is good even in the unlikely places, as long as you’re willing to love.
Valko isn’t a dangerous or harmful character type; he doesn’t promote misogyny of any kind and is deeply tied to the world created by Paper Games/Infold.
He is clearly a doting, protective, loving guy who is honest about his feelings for the player; us. We should have the chance to meet him and know his story.

It makes me so upset that by now we should have already collected all of Valko's cards, gone through his main story, and started farming diamonds from his orbit. We could be playing in the photobooth or home with him, filled with so much joy.
But here we are, sad and exhausted instead. Our excitement turned to loathing for Infold. I can't believe the situation has unfolded the way it has. @Love_Deepspace you need to give us back the wolf and right your wrongs.
