Instead of figuring out how to cram all the relevant implications in, I let students decide to read articles that relate to them the most from a vast array. They find the reading so much more meaningful that way.

In my experience, students are more intrinsically motivated when they can share their views and efforts with others. Social media is structured around outward expressions of self and immediate responses from others that affirm or negate those expressions. #MWSoTL

In the past, I have received some great work … and some thrown together just to turn ‘something’ in. Also, I noticed that students regarded citing literature as either plagiarism avoidance or token quotes to appear like they read. #MWSoTL
