idgaf if chiropractors, acupuncturists, etc are quacks. they are the only people that actually take my pain seriously and want to give me care. ive been denied care at the doctor and physical therapist countless times. I don’t want pain meds. I just wanna run again.

@ErikSeaberg @GoodReddit This is my fave movie so humor me: Running from her would be terrifying if she speed-ran the 7 days in 24 hrs. You’d hallucinate, lose sleep, and basically get the flu. Then, Samara can come out of ANY screen. So you’d have to go away in a cabin, but stay away from wells!

@MostlyMozart_ @sucolorfavorito You are correct in general for some communities, but not for my specific family. My heritage is mostly Irish but we gave that up to assimilate into whiteness. I’ve been told I’m not welcome by Irish communities BECAUSE of that, and that is the grief part. It’s complicated.

When people say there is “no white culture,” this is what they mean. White Americans have been denying and giving up their cultural heritage in favor of white supremacy and colonialism, and it’s time we reckoned with it.

@sucolorfavorito As a white person who is still working on this, I think this is not brought up enough WITHIN white activist circles. A part of my experience is the grief and rage of never knowing any traditions or legacy of my ancestors because it was all given up in order to step into whiteness
