@JimComptonHall Oh damn. No. Have been off of the twitter for a while & didn't see Copywriters Unite coming. βΉοΈ Will start paying attention again - maybe next time I'll even ping you about it!
@indeliblethink1 I think this is a positive move Matt. You can't breathe & think about how to improve your business if you're all panic-stations about how to feed yourself. Maybe not exactly how you wanted your story to play out, but what is life if not an adventure, eh? Keep trucking.
@amyboylanwrites@VikkiRossWrites Well done. (That looks patronising, but it's genuine - this freelancing adventure is full of tiny little confidence hurdles to overcome. I totally relate) π<---recently learnt this a high-five symbol. Not prayer hands. Lol.
Good thing the folks @LearnInbound are on it because I totally forgot to tweet this. π³Here it is though, if you haven't spotted it floating about. π#copywriting#marketingtips
@JimComptonHall Jim! I'm so sad I missed this tweet. And Copywriters unite totally passed me by. Twitter has taken a backseat to visa applications. Was it good?
"When not to listen to your customers..."
Very interesting on many levels. And not as controversial as the title suggests! Lotsa gems to be applied to #copywriting too. #marketingtips#Marketing

@ConservationOrg@BBC Ironically my main take-away here is about the flowers. I rarely buy flowers but when I have I've never been thinking about the environmental impact of that particular shopping choice!
@thatcontentshed Just noticed that everyone loves the pricing formula. Lol. You can see where freelancers' minds are at! Also, as someone else commented, so lovely to cover this stuff with humour rather than the run of the mill "10 ways to earn what you're worth" stuff.
@trukelayser Oooh, accented vowels. That is a true skill! I write Spanish words on a semi-regular basis and still need to refer to my post it note guide. π€£
@duncanmacgregor @indeliblethink1 Oh wow. This strikes a real chord. I'm still at the beginning of this adventure but I can see the types of tasks that someone else could do faster/easily. I s'pose it's part mental block about investing in the biz when you're still not 100% on financially firm ground yet.
On the fear of addressing pain points in your copy: "...youβre not actually introducing pain, itβs already there..." Talk about the pain, make 'em feel it, then talk about how you can solve it. via this blog: https://t.co/iGl2C9Pq6Q #copywriting#copywritersunite#marketing
@amyboylanwrites That is a great way to put it. Inbox =other folks' priorities. πPro-activity is the goal, not reactivity. Sometimes (as in super often) easier said than done though. Old habits die hard but I'm trying.
