@CityofHoboken@VeoliaWaterNJ You’re past “precautionary” at this point. Communicating to the community for the past 24+ hours that the water was safe for consumption was irresponsible and wrong. Yet, here we are - no accountability all around.
Trying to stop the spread of Coronovirus by *not* having 14 girls share a house. Unfortunately, @vrbo refuses to offer a refund for cancelling.
They say they spoke to the Governor’s office and “they aren’t too worried about this virus.”
Unbelievable.
I am happy to report a new development, in that the @vrbo management company is FINALLY agreeing to provide a refund. No apology for the falsified documents or fabricated information regarding the virus, but for now I’ll take it. Time for @briansharples to fix this for others!
@WayneSchutsky@HannaCritch And great work to you as well for staying on top of this story and helping to hold @vrbo and their property managers accountable.
@vrbo@briansharples When are you going to step up and take some responsibility here? The property managers you work with are YOUR responsibility! Put people and community over profits and do the right thing!
UPDATE: @vrbo has ADMITTED that their property managers lied and falsified email time stamps, claiming they sent the emails weeks ago “before we knew more about the virus”, which encouraged customers to continue traveling, to Arizona specifically, saying “we’re not that worried”.
@deborahilene@vrbo Raise your voice on this! The way @vrbo@briansharples is handling (or actually, failing entirely to handle) the matter is unacceptable.
@WayneSchutsky GoodNight Stay is fabricating the dates on which they claim to have sent these email communications to their customers and it is completely unacceptable. Others received the same exact message from this management company within the past week. A complete and utter lie.
@FJJEC @CNNTravel@CNN@foxandfriends@foxnewspolitics@MSNBC Even in the unlikely event that they truly weren’t worried (which I’m hard pressed to believe), wouldn’t encouraging travelers from metropolitan areas where the virus is spreading, to come to your cities, be GREAT cause of worry? @vrbo#FlattenTheCurve
@karenanygaard @CaltoFlor @MEPFuller@vrbo@dougducey It absolutely has to do with the Governor and with the information being communicated to the public and to these rental companies by his office. Our government and companies like Vrbo have a social and moral responsibility, especially in a time like this, to do the right thing.
@vrbo Not only do people need information, but for you to take responsibility for this situation and make a commitment to your customers and community to help stop the spread of this virus. Refund your customers and stop leaving it up to the decision of ill informed property managers!
