Father, if Thou wilt, remove this chalice from me; but yet not my will, but Thine be done. Domine non sum dignus!
Prayer requests retweeted means I'm praying! ❤
I think when John replaced his name with beloved or other, he wanted us to replace him with ourselves.
We are the excited disciple that ran to the tomb, we are the beloved disciple that brings Mary into our home!
When I meditate on the resurrection, I replace myself with John and run to the tomb…when I meditate on the crucifixion, I’m standing next to mother Mary!
@thegothcatholic Always laughed at that. One thing I didn’t really think about until recently, notice that John waits for Peter and lets Peter enter first? Place of preeminence.
The next Pope should require all Cardinals and Bishops to take an oath against heresies and modern errors and to publicly profess the Catholic Faith.
Moreover, any bishop who allows or covers up sexual abuse should be stripped of office and pensions IMMEDIATELY. Make it serious.
No more toleration of heresy or abuse. Purify.
I'm Catholic. Here is our Catholic reply to “once saved always saved” (which we reject):
Evanglicals, if you are “once saved always saved” how do you know that are “really saved”?
I've known “once saved ways saved Evangelical Christians” (even pastors) who crashed out and are now atheists. The typical answer is “Well, they were never REALLY saved.” Okay, how can you know that YOU are REALLY saved?
The Catholic answer is that salvation is “running a race” as Paul said. You don't know until you cross the finish line. That's salvation. Perseverance until death!
People in marathons just keep putting one foot in front of the other and keep their eye on the prize. For Catholics, it's all about the hour of death. And we don't despair. With God’s grace, we keep running to Jesus.
@CatholicCassie Conversion of my father (lukewarm/cultural Catholic), my aunt (left for my uncle's protestant sect), and cousins (raised in said sect).
God bless and I'll pray for you as well!
Every Pope leaves behind his old name the moment he’s elected.
But why? And how do they choose their new one?
Let’s break down the sacred tradition, symbols, and history of papal names - a thread 🧵✝️🇻🇦
If you guys are interested, I made several little free handbook guides on how to pray the rosary in english/latin and some devotions to the Blessed Mother and St. Joseph.
Get it here -> https://t.co/YxlLyuaGxa Adding a prayer guide to St.Michael soon! Suggestions are welcome!
So, let us humbly acknowledge our weakness and turn to Our Blessed Mother with contrite hearts, saying:
"Mary, Mother of Jesus, please be a mother to me now."
“One day, through the Rosary and the Scapular, Our Lady will save the world.” - Saint Dominic
As fingers glide over its beads, hearts ascend to contemplate the mysteries of salvation, and voices unite in a chorus that resonates in the halls of Heaven.
The Rosary endures a legacy of faith, a weapon of spiritual warfare, and a bridge between the temporal and the eternal.
These events at Fátima rekindled a global resurgence in the devotion of the Rosary, as the faithful heeded Our Lady's call to "pray the Rosary every day" for peace and the conversion of sinners.
Preceding these Marian apparitions, in 1916, the children were visited by the Angel of Peace, who prepared them for their divine encounters.
The angel taught them prayers of adoration and reparation, emphasizing the importance of the Eucharist and sacrifice.
