HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE:
๐บ๐ธ The Trump administration just made one of the most unprecedented moves in American history.
The IRS is now permanently banned from auditing Trump. His family. His companies. His tax returns.
No more audits. No more reviews. No more claims. Forever.
The President legally shielded his own finances.
From the only agency with the power to examine them.
The game isn't broken.
It's working exactly as designed.
For the people inside it.
If you honestly believe that any of the violent 1,600 rioters that stormed the Capitol and beat cops with flagpoles and fire extinguishers on January 6th deserves ONE CENT of our hard-earned tax dollars, you are a DISGRACE and an asshole.
This is the largest grift I've ever seen as an American. https://t.co/7ew82Hw3ni.NOT.OKAY.WITH.THIS.

#Congress do your jobs, I never voted for this and do not want a single $ of my tax money going to this damn fund!!! @SenThomTillis@SenTedBuddNC#NCvoter
abuse of taxpayer dollars and the next step after president trump uses state power to force private actors to settle in his direction.
flows directly from the breakdown in department of justice independence.

Yeah...sure looks like an inside job...just like trading stocks you boost isnt a problem...just like a slush fund for these criminals and billions for trump is ok. Maga killed itself.
This is NOT okay. I am NOT okay with this! #congress needs to STOP #trump Not 1 cent of my tax dollars should go to this scam. Shame on @realDonaldTrump
Remember that $10B lawsuit Trump filed against the IRS over his tax returns leaking? Heโs 'dropping' it in exchange for a taxpayer-funded slush fund so he can pay off his political allies and friends.
You're being robbed.
Not only are we getting squeezed at the gas pump and grocery store, but trump just set up a $1.8 BILLION slush fund using OUR TAXPAYER FUNDS to pay off scumbags like the January 6th attackers and his rich buddies.
CONGRESS: ARE YOU GOING TO DO SOMETHING?
Donald Trump just stole $1.7B from us โ and he's creating a slush fund to reward his political allies.
I've never seen anything like this in my 50 years in politics.
It makes Nixon look like a boy scout.

The General Assembly has heeded the call to fund much of my Critical Needs Budget. Today I signed legislation to:
โ Fully fund Medicaid and protect Medicaid expansion
โ Address critical operating needs at our state prisons, the @NC_DMV, and @SBI1937
โ Shore up the NC Scholarship for Children of Wartime Veterans
Not having a budget has taken its toll. Each of these investments will help fill the gap as we work toward a comprehensive and fiscally responsible budget this summer.
North Carolinians are stuck spending more and more on the necessities because of DCโs decisions.
And it doesnโt look like Washington is going to help any time soon.
