Athletic success is not worth losing your mental health for. Always try to maintain your mental health while striving towards success. You can do this by maintaining balance in life, having healthy attitudes about sports, and seeking professional help when needed.
Everyone needs encouragement. Never underestimate the impact that random words of encouragement can have on others. It can brighten their day and light a fire inside of them.
As an athlete, be prepared to face failure many times in your career. You will be overlooked. You will be doubted. You will be rejected. You will suffer from slumps and injuries. But you must stay positive and persevere through all adversity until you succeed!
Peak performance requires a balance of being serious and having fun. Try your best and play with discipline, but also have a positive attitude and play with joy.
As an athlete, don’t get too high after wins, or too low after losses. Remember that winning and losing are small steps towards long-term improvement. Stay hungry, optimistic, and patient to continue on the path to improvement.
