On 20th December, as schools broke up for Christmas, a parliamentary Committee began seeking evidence for SEND with a very short turn around.
They want the opinions of everyone.
If not for yourself, please fill it in for families like mine: https://t.co/VeRPLgPepD
Thank you
Our librarians at Peters have reviewed many brilliant books over 2023, but there have been some extra special titles that really stand out. Without further ado, it's time to announce our BOOKS OF THE YEAR!

Spending the day delivering the @OEedDevelopment Literacy Networks for the amazing Y2 and Y6 teachers based in and around Manchester. Wonderful training space and hospitality as always @TheNestManc
And a fantastic session in the afternoon with the Literacy Leads. Lots of discussion with colleagues, sharing effective practice and action-planning for next year @OEedDevelopment #puttingchildrenfirst
A really productive session this morning with wonderful EYFS practitioners from the Manchester area, looking at how to design a bespoke and inspiring curriculum for their pupils @OEedDevelopment #puttingchildrenfirst
Huge congratulations to Rush Green Primary School @RushGreenRM7 for achieving the @OneEducation Reading Award Gold accreditation!🏆 This really is a reflection of all their wonderful work, prioritising reading for all children and embedding this in the curriculum. Well done! ⭐️📚
Huge congratulations to St John’s Green Primary School for achieving the @OneEducation#ReadingAward in silver, through their hard work and commitment to developing all aspects of reading provision for the children 📖⭐️📚
Have you seen these #EYFS networks run by specialists?
They are on once a term and next month is a focus on role of the adult.
Sessions are full of ideas, inspiration and magic to take back to the classroom (making me want to play straight away!)

@MrPSmithteach@_Reading_Rocks_ My Year 2 classes always loved hearing Esio Trot by Roald Dahl 🐢 I’d also recommend the Maggie Sparks books, The Truth Pixie by Matt Haig, Betsey Biggalow by Malorie Blackman and The Boy Who Grew Dragons by Andy Shepherd
A wonderfully positive two days at @OldhamCouncil for teachers who are new to Y2 or Y6.
Opportunity for me to work alongside two of @OEedDevelopment
awesome team members @catherinedel24 and @SimoneNixon71 too ❤️
