@5by5Creativity@The_Weed I was diagnosed last year at 55 too after years of little t traumas. Followed by chemo brain and fighting to be taken seriously for five years. We can at least own a new story and unwind some of the trauma of being told there’s something “wrong” with us all of those years.
@The_Weed I know better so I’m doing better. Which means the summer my ADHD daughter obsessed over cop shows, she decided she wants to work in the BAU. She’s now a top notch student and thriving her own way! 2/2
@The_Weed This is the most important conversation on the internet. I lived this. Even when I told my therapist who HAS ADHD that I thought I do (diagnosed combined type at 55), he said but you’re too smart. WTH? 1/2
@Sami83665731@WhatTheADHD@Iv4nPimentel Years of therapy and inaccurate diagnoses. I got mine at 55 (last year) even though I had been asking my therapist for 5 years. It is hard. But thanks for showing your lack of knowledge and compassion.
@coachcamg It's taken me years to learn not to start the "five" minute thing five minutes before I'm out the door. Because it's NEVER just a five minute thing. LOL! And those five minutes can be better used grabbing the car, keys, wallet, water bottle, mask.
