@BBCBreaking I don’t always agree with Gary Lineker and I don’t like him as a broadcaster but what has happened to freedom of speech? He isn’t a news presenter. He didn’t break impartiality guidelines. His tweet was misguided but stepping back is a step too far.

@clhubes I agree you did miss out on socialising with your baby and that must have been hard. The various lockdowns went on for a long time too. I wonder his history will judge their effectiveness?

@clhubes @suetheob Both my girls were teenagers and affected by lack of seeing friends, staring at a screen all day, feeling trapped and affected by the exam results, especially the controversial attempt in the first year. They are still getting over it.
