We watched part of Stranger Things season 5 tonight. Violence & language come with the territory, but constantly using the Lord’s name in vain just to dodge an R-rating is lazy. It’s not “edgy,” it’s disrespectful. Do better, @netflix. #StrangerThings5
@WassonWatch Congratulations! I know it might feels like a double edged sword. Yay, we sold everything! Oh no, we have no product left! I'd pick sell out over end of year over-stock any day though.
I'd take a look at Justin and Abi Stumvoll. They probably aren't Catholic, not sure if they have kids, but when you talk about healthy communication it starts with knowing yourself and owning your stuff. They do am excellent job of breaking down how they went from disfunction to flourishing.
Based on the director's comment on his inspiration, I think it's worth watching. Painless birth is not dogma, although that's the version I lean towards...mostly due to my admiration for Mystical City. The main question to ask is: can the Lord work through this film and inspire greater admiration for and devotion to our Blessed Mother? I think it's possible. Will it help Catholics who already have a strong relationship with Mary? Probably not, but I don't think this was written for you.
@TridentineBrew@WassonWatch Case in point, I just got a request from a well known Catholic Institution wanting 500 custom rosaries with a target price of $15 a rosary. Our materials cost more than that. There's definitely a disconnect between the good desire for made in USA and what that costs 😅
@TridentineBrew@WassonWatch curious what your thoughts are on this idea of replacing income tax with terrifs. What's the impact/opportunity for your business?
@TridentineBrew@WassonWatch I think you nailed it. Is it as simple as education or is it deeper than that? If most things were made here, volume of sales would drop significantly because you're money wouldn't go as far...you'd have to be selective about where you spend... a muscle most Americans don't have
@TridentineBrew@WassonWatch For our premium line, 50% of the materials are already made in USA, 100% of labor is in USA. But the beads come from the Philippines. We'd need a host of machines and tools that also aren't made in US to make everything here...which I'd love to get there someday
