Students saw how the adults, admin, etc. adapted to the restrictions around us to make things work. This kind of flexibility is key in moving forward in life. Do not just complain and give up but work together as a team to make the impossible possible. #wcedchat
A4 Keep going even when you are tired or unsure or life just seems upside down. The best thing you can do is try something and keep at it. Persistence. #wcedchat
A2 Students always enjoy when we go outside to measure the height of the clock tower using trigonometry, but it seemed extra nice this year to not be in our seats the whole hour. #wcedchat
Shout out to Katie Mock for staying in touch with students on what they like and dislike about the online platforms we have been using. She has shared vital feedback in designing our path forward! #wcedchat
A3 I handed out the entire unit's worth of handouts/homework pages at the start of each unit, so students on quarantine would usually have what they needed. Students were more responsible than I expected in retaining these and it saved much class time. #wcedchat
A2 Since smiling is less visible, I have been wishing everyone good morning as they pass. It took until March 31, but one boy who has ignored my greetings every day this year finally nodded in acknowledgement and even looked at me in anticipation today! #wcedchat
A4 I actually will be leaving behind all my devices since I will be home next year, haha. Who knows what will exist when I return after a year ;D #wcedchat
A3 Have everything you do in class digitally somehow. Then if you are absent, your students can carry on with the day's work with minimal prep on your part at 4am ;D #wcedchat
A1 I am a fan of Canvas as a lesson video storage space. Whether students are absent and need to make up a lesson or prefer to view the lesson before it is taught in class or want to hear something again before the test, students have access to all lessons anytime. #wcedchat
