WOW: Nearly three-quarters of Mainers perceive the state as unaffordable, and 30 percent plan to move away at some point in the next five years, according to a new @UofNH poll published in a recent story by @TheMaineWire, a project of Maine Policy Institute.

Of that 30 percent, about two-thirds cite housing and the cost of living as the driving factor for their decision to leave the state.

50 percent of those who plan to leave the state mentioned lower taxes as a reason for their plan to move away from Maine in the near future.

@WGME And he’s not allowed to run twice in the same election cycle. It’s the sore loser law, prohibits recycling candidates in the same election. Already breaking Maines laws! Why am I not surprised?
