@Zachariahskylab@unlimbited@BrandiKruse In an interview the girl said he inserted his fingers into her vagina. That is NOT a legal wrestling move as far as I know.
The year is 1950. Your doctor lights a cigarette and tells you smoking is fine. He read it in a study. He is telling the truth about having read it. He does not know, or is not saying, that the study was funded by the tobacco industry.
The year is 1958. Your doctor tells you to eat less fat. The evidence is contested. The contestation is not in the public messaging. The food industry has been helpful in clarifying which findings deserve attention. Some researchers who published contradictory data have been quietly defunded. Ancel Keys is on the cover of Time magazine.
The year is 1962. Your doctor prescribes thalidomide to your pregnant wife for morning sickness. It has been approved. The FDA gave it the green light in Europe. Twelve thousand children will be born with severe limb malformations before anyone in an official capacity acknowledges the problem. The families are told the drug was safe. The drug was approved. Both of these things remain true.
The year is 1972. Your doctor prescribes Valium. Britain is in the grip of a benzodiazepine wave that will last two decades. The dependency risk is known internally. It is not shared. Your doctor is not lying to you. He was not told either.
The year is 1999. Your doctor prescribes Vioxx for your arthritis. It is newer than ibuprofen, well-tolerated, and Merck has a study showing it works. Merck also has internal data suggesting it roughly doubles the risk of heart attack. This data will not reach your doctor for four more years. Fifty thousand people are estimated to have died in the interim. Merck eventually settles for 4.85 billion dollars. No criminal charges are brought.
The year is 2002. Your doctor prescribes OxyContin. Purdue Pharma trained its sales representatives to tell doctors the addiction risk was less than one percent. That figure came from a letter, not a study. The letter was about patients with terminal cancer on short-term doses in hospital settings. Your doctor is a GP with a patient who has a bad back. Nobody draws a distinction. Nobody is required to.
The year is 2008. Your doctor checks your cholesterol. Your LDL is elevated. You are prescribed a statin. Nobody mentions that the number needed to treat for primary prevention is approximately 250. Nobody mentions that the muscle deterioration you'll notice over the next two years is listed as a rare side effect rather than a documented pattern affecting a meaningful percentage of patients. The trial that informed the prescription was funded by the manufacturer.
Now it is today.
Your doctor has new guidelines. New studies. New consensus.
He is confident.
He has always been confident.
The confidence has never been the problem.
The confidence is, in fact, precisely the problem.
In the autumn of 1942, a slight, 32-year-old Polish social worker named Irena Sendler passed through the gates of the Warsaw Ghetto with a carpenter’s toolbox in her arms. Beneath the hammers and nails lay a drugged six-month-old infant, breathing softly, utterly silent. One cry would have meant instant death for both of them. Irena smiled at the guards; they waved her through. They never suspected that this quiet woman would repeat the journey 2,499 more times.
The ghetto was a slow-motion extermination. Starvation, disease, and random murder stalked every street. Jewish parents faced a choice no human being should ever have to make: keep their child and watch them waste away, or hand them to a stranger who promised a chance—however thin—at life.
Irena came officially to inspect for typhus. In reality, she came to steal children from death.
Babies left in toolboxes or ambulances under false bottoms. Toddlers sedated and tucked into potato sacks. Older children led by the hand through the stinking, lightless sewers while German boots marched overhead. “Not a sound,” she whispered as rats scurried past their feet.
She knew that the rescued children would be given new names, new religions, new families. Their pasts would vanish unless someone remembered. So, on fragile scraps of tissue paper, Irena wrote each child’s real name, their parents’ names, and their new hiding place. She rolled the papers tight, slipped them into glass jars, and buried them beneath an apple tree in a neighbor’s garden. If she were caught and killed, the truth might still survive.
She was caught.
On October 20, 1943, the Gestapo kicked in her door. They took her to Pawiak Prison and demanded the list. When she refused, they smashed both her legs with iron bars. Then her feet. Then her arms. For weeks the beatings continued. She never spoke. They scheduled her execution. On the appointed morning, guards dragged the broken woman from her cell.
Instead of a firing squad, she found herself outside the prison walls—alive. The Polish underground council Żegota had bribed a guard to mark her file “shot while trying to escape.” Officially dead, Irena Sendler limped back into the shadows to keep working. When the war finally ended, the first thing she did was dig up the jars under the apple tree. She spent years trying to return the children—now scattered across convents, farms, and foster homes—to whatever family might remain.
Almost no parents had survived. But the children had. Because of her, 2,500 Jewish boys and girls lived to grow up, to marry, to have children and grandchildren of their own—an entire secret branch of the human family tree that the Nazis never managed to cut down. For decades her story stayed buried deeper than the jars themselves. Then, in 1999, four high-school girls in rural Kansas stumbled across a brief mention of her name. They found the old woman still living quietly in Warsaw and brought her courage back into the light.
Journalists called her the greatest rescuer of the Holocaust. Irena only shook her head.“I could have saved more,” she said. “That regret follows me to the grave.”Irena Sendler—armed with nothing but a ghetto work permit, a toolbox, and a refusal to look away—proved that even in the heart of the worst evil humanity has ever devised, one determined person can still keep the darkness from winning completely.

@GadSaad@jordanbpeterson Perhaps a conversation with John Lennox as well. He has spoken at great length about the compatibility of science and religion and the origin of science in religion. Very interesting stuff!!
If doctors in 1950 could be catastrophically wrong about smoking, fat, and sugar while being completely confident in their recommendations...
And doctors in 1980 could be catastrophically wrong about margarine, low-fat diets, and dietary cholesterol while being completely confident in their recommendations...
And doctors in 2000 could be catastrophically wrong about opioids, hormone therapy, and Vioxx while being completely confident in their recommendations...
Why would you assume doctors today, working in the same institutional structures with the same pharmaceutical funding and the same regulatory capture, have suddenly figured it all out?
The system hasn't changed. The incentives haven't changed. The conflicts of interest haven't changed.
Only your willingness to believe them has.
The Harry Potter series is a masterclass in why we shouldn’t bow to "easy, polite lies." Rowling didn’t just write about magic; she wrote about the grit required to tell the truth when the Ministry and the media are trying to gaslight you into silence.
It’s the ultimate irony. The same people who cheered for Harry standing up to Umbridge are now the ones acting like the High Inquisitor—demanding we ignore our own eyes and ears to keep the peace. They want us to believe that biological reality is a "hateful" inconvenience rather than a fundamental truth.
Bravery isn't found in Hollywood actors following a script to stay in the good books of the liberal elite. It’s found in a woman willing to risk her reputation to say that sex is real and it matters.
🇺🇸America has withdrawn from the World Health Organization (WHO)🇺🇸
If you're unsure of how to feel about it, let me remind you of this incident from the hellish covid year of 2020 that shows how utterly captured and corrupt the WHO is:
When this reporter asked senior WHO official Dr. Bruce Aylward to comment on how Taiwan 🇹🇼 handled the covid pandemic (the answer is VERY WELL), he pretended that he couldn’t hear her question, then accidentally cancels the Skype call and refuses to answer when she calls back.
This is important because the WHO has done nothing short of sycophantically praising China's handling of the crisis since Day 1.
When she presses him, he then kowtows and says "well all of China has done a good job" before abruptly ending the interview.
By the way, as early as Dec 31 2019, Taiwan's health authorities emailed WHO alerting them to reports of "atypical pneumonia" cases in Wuhan, China, noting that patients were being isolated - a detail implying possible human-to-human transmission
Because Taiwan is excluded from the WHO (they gave Taiwan's seat to the Peoples' Republic of China) and therefore lacked direct access to WHO's formal reporting mechanisms, the alert was ignored.
Instead, WHO publicly echoed China's assurances that there was NOTHING TO SEE HERE for at least another month. Meanwhile, China arrested and jailed their OWN DOCTORS for reporting what they SAW and NOTICED with their OWN eyes.
This delay was a major reason that the virus spread unchecked in its early stages, with global cases exploding shortly.
I want to also emphasize that besides doctors, citizen journalists who reported the truth about covid in China were also arrested and charged for "spreading rumors and disrupting the social order." Many were jailed and some have disappeared - to this day we have no idea what happened to them.
It's time to let go of the nostalgia for the supranational organizations that supposedly underpinned the liberal world order - they have long surpassed their utility thanks to corruption. If you're wondering why Trump is leaving the order and "ceding" it to China, this is why.
They already run it.

She’s been sentenced to be stoned to death in Afghanistan 🇦🇫 for being a woman Taekwondo 🥋 coach and training young women .
Her name is Khadija Ahmadzada and she’s only 22 years old .
Her only chance of survival is if you can share this post, create awareness❗️
During yesterday's Coffee with Scott Adams, @ScottAdamsSays mentioned how useful a college course on decerning the truth of news stories. I propose with the help of @petersonacademy and AI Mr. Adams can be the instructor. He's already spoken much on this topic.
If you believe free speech is for you but not your political opponents, you're illiberal.
If no contrary evidence could change your beliefs, you're a fundamentalist.
If you believe the state should punish those with contrary views, you're a totalitarian.
If you believe political opponents should be punished with violence or death, you're a terrorist.
Nothing about this feels good, because John Oliver generously gave his time for my charity Lumos and I liked him very much when I met him, but God knows, if you ever need an example of motivated reasoning and confirmation bias, this video's for you. An undoubtedly intelligent person spouts absolute bullshit to support something he wants to be true, but isn't.
According to the UN, female athletes have lost nearly 900 medals to trans-identified men competing against them in women’s sporting categories. Girls have been ousted from teams to make way for boys. Women have suffered serious injury playing against trans-identified men (see Payton McNabb, mentioned below).
Again and again I've come up against men who argue exactly what Oliver does here, using the very same talking points. With a straight face, the 'believe the science' guys will say 'actually, we don't yet have enough data to say whether men and boys are stronger and faster than women and girls'. The 'be kind' crew can't see what the issue is. 'Why are you bothered, it only affects a tiny minority of females?'
To prove to their progressive credentials - and (coincidentally, I'm sure) indemnify themselves against repercussions from cultural elites in the media, academia and publishing who've showed themselves more than ready to kick people to the kerb for failing to mouth the approved mantras - people with a lot to lose are currently prepared to make idiots of themselves. They'll stare unabashedly into a camera and insist that their audiences' eyeballs are incapable of seeing what's plain as day, and that there's something wrong with the great unwashed for believing that girls are being robbed of opportunities and put at physical risk.
If you want to tell the world you're happy to watch females suffer injury, humiliation and the loss of sporting opportunities to bolster an elitist post-modern ideology embraced by a minute fraction of the world's population, fair enough; you're allowed your opinion. But if you've just told girls they don't deserve fair sport, maybe rethink using all too real and common sexual predation against young women as a punchline for your 'edgy' closing joke.
