@Kathryn11Baird Wonder if it was outside the library when I grew up in Stamford in the early 1960s . I may even have posted my thankyou letters for my Christmas presents in it .As a bookworm I certainly spent many happy hours in the library. Halcyon days .

@LearNonsense @FaetheRye Thank you ! but professional librarians in public libraries have largely disappeared- austerity and ‘anti-expert’ council managers…I was luckier in an academic library , appreciated as essential to support the next generation of artists and designers.

@ShirleyHughes_ Wonderful! I hope my daughters hang on to the ones I have made every year (and their birthday cards) to remember me by. Shirley was my inspiration when I was growing up , and I spent my childhood drawing imaginary (and real) families - like she did .
