@AMCHelps I have been calling and calling trying to set up a field trip experience for my students and can not get in touch with anyone! I would LOVE to have a fun experience for my students. Please reach out. #helpateacherout
We love connecting with our community. Recently, Erik Witte, an Amerex Quality Engineer, spoke with students at @PelhamRidge_ES during their Career Day. This school has an Amerex unit in each classroom, so the kids instantly recognize the Amerex diamond. #careerday#amerexcareers
Who doesn't love FREE resources for their classroom?! Printable math manipulatives are a must in my classroom! #UMedTech

YEP! especially with new tech in schools and classrooms. We do not have to fix something that isn't broken, but we DEFINITELY need to explore the possibilities something new has to offer and decipher if it is worth investing in and implementing into our routines! #UMedTech
The biggest risk we can take is not trying something new when things aren't working for us.
Whether this is at an individual or organizational level, sometimes we can talk ourselves out of trying something new or adopting a new strategy when things aren’t working.
Personally, I have been terrified to try new things in certain parts of my life, but I took a step back and thought, “If what I am currently doing is not working, where is the true risk in trying something different?”
The biggest risk that we often don’t talk about is staying in the same place and sticking with the same routines when things aren’t working.
In education, I don’t think we should throw out practices from the past if they are working for our students today. Nor do I think we should do “new stuff” just because it is new.
Are things working the way you want them to? If they are, keep going.
If not, try something different.
The worst thing we can do is continue to do the same thing when we know that routine, practice, habit, or whatever is not serving us today.
@raspberryberet3 One major misconception that I see is people thinking that feedback is a measure of understanding and success when really that is assessment. Feedback is more of a process and a way to improve your craft, and assessment is a definitive measure. #UMedTech#formativechat
@raspberryberet3 A2: feedback is specific reactions to an observed process or activity while advice is just an opinion or recommendation suggesting actions! Personally, I like to think that feedback has measurable, observable, achievable goals to improve a process! #formativechat#UMedTech
Schools have been expected to fill countless roles to treat, manage, & resolve many issues outside the scope of student education. This leads me to wonder are we doing too much for student academic success and it is interfering with our ability to actually teach? #UMedTech
When schools attempt to shoulder too many responsibilities, especially those that belong to parents, they not only fall short but often fail spectacularly.
Several really intriguing AI tools I haven’t heard of on the list! Excited to check some of these out and implement them in my classroom! #UMedTech#digilead
I’ve struggled with this as a teacher and balancing giving “points” for behavior to all students and if it’s even beneficial for long term development. Are we just creating a generation of people that only work if a “reward” is coming? The comments are worth the read. #UMedTech
AI isn't going anywhere. I already love using @MagicSchoolAi for planning purposes and now they have had a student paced side! Talk about empowering and training students for the future! I am so excited to explore these new aspects and use them in class! #UMedTech#digilead
