1) Denial – "It's just a tiny fringe. No real support. This will blow over."

3) Anger – "Traitors! How dare you threaten our country over pipelines and equalization?"

4) Self-Preservation – Threats, economic doomsday warnings, and last-minute "concessions" to keep the cash flowing.

5) Abandon – "Fine, let them go. We're better off without the whining anyway."

Your progression is classsic, especially as the polls showing support are hitting 30-40% support.

You're already in self-preservation mode because deep down you know the movement is real. You also know that the rest of Canada is fucked without Alberta. When we leave, your monthly welfare cheque will immediately shrink by 25%, and eventually down to nothing because you guys are bankrupt.
