@Zermanion@Reagan_Right Thanks, I appreciate the civil discussion. We came at it from different angles, but we agree that peaceful pressure is the best way to get heard. Take care.
As an avid historian, I'd look at Asia, since we've seen this before here.
Hear me out though.
Several countries in the region went through riots where shops and malls were burned, and in some cases capital left the country and it took years to rebuild investor confidence.
Others had months of protests that badly hurt retail and tourism, and some saw the unrest keep coming back until the political situation changed.
Most of these places recovered in the end, but the small owners and workers paid first and longest, while big business moved its money elsewhere.
People should be heard, but history shows destruction rarely gets them what they want.
Thanks for the discussion. We can agree to disagree, but I still think the cost lands on ordinary people first.
Sure, France never collapsed, but that doesn't mean nobody got hurt. Insurance only covers the damage, it doesn't pay for the weeks a small shop stays closed or the wages of the staff who can't work during that time, and premiums usually go up after that too. I agree the government should listen to young people, but I don't see how burning and looting local stores helps anyone get heard. The ones who suffer in the end are normal workers and shop owners, not the big brands.
So you should know the consequence if you claim to be. How will local economy thrive ? Have you seen how many local stores impacted ? Not to mention the riot and chaos. Hey, we all have seen that in asia and know where it stands
You dont need to be an economist to figure it out. Common sense will.
@DrewPavlou As a non-european foreigner, i hope french authorities step up and deport those immigrants who create chaos. Send them back to their hole where they came from
@Zermanion@Reagan_Right And do you know how economy work ? Money comes from magical place ? Without stability, who pays for your salary ? Naive. Investors will not come if the place is in chaos
@kamaghul Kalau dah macam ni, baik cerai je. Suami isteri perlu bantu sesama sendiri tanpa mengira. Kalau macam ni perangai, dah macam hubungan bertransaksi
@BlackGHORST The kid holding yellow ball is surely annoying but i didnt see him cheating though? Pls point it out incase i missed it (yes, i was rooting for red ball kid)
@hotahotasa45082 The ettiquete of eating is important and it is important for certain type of food. Not everything should be eating with hand and with such greed.
Terrible upbringing
@FaytuksNetwork I feel sorry for the lady who is trying to save her store. Where is the french police and where is their protection ?
I feel more businesses will cease operating in france and will move out if this continues
