India was among the first few countries in the world to recognise Palestine as a state in November, 1988.
At the time, and in fact, all along the valiant struggle of the Palestinian people, we showed the world the way by standing for what was right and upholding the values of humanity and justice on the international stage.
Australia, Canada and the UK have only just followed suit, 37 years too late.
And here we are now…our policy towards Palestine in the last twenty months has been nothing less than shameful and devoid of moral rectitude. It’s a sad diminishment of a previously courageous stand.
Benedict Cumberbatch recites Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish’s “On this land there are reasons to live” poem at the “Together for Palestine” event.
“On this land, there are reasons to live. This land, the lady of lands, the motherland of beginnings, the motherland of all ends. She was known as Palestine; she, forevermore, will be known as Palestine. My land, my lady, you’re a reason to live.”
Greta Thunberg:
‘There is a genocide’
‘Where is the world media to expose it’
‘Where is media to call out Palestinian 🇵🇸 journalists being murdered’ ‘World leaders and institutions are enabling a genocide’
‘None of us are free until Palestine 🇵🇸 is free’
Is Punjab not part of India?
Because I didn't hear a word from @narendramodi for Punjab that feeds the entire country, including him.
Next time he wears a turban and does drama being close to Punjabis- Dear Punjabis, Watch out!
Ordered food from @Chilis, Vasant Kunj from @zomato. Took a bite and felt shooting pain in my teeth - A FUCKING IRON NAIL in my food.
