THIS OR THAT?
Oxytocin enables the onset & progression of labour, however, if adrenaline is produced in response to worry and stress, labour can slow down. So how can we create this balance?? This video is of the same birthing room and demonstrates this impact
In @HywelDdaHB we have birthing pools on the Midwifery led and the Obstetric led units. Water can help women/birthing people feel relaxed and calm, as well as providing some relief from the discomfort of labour and birth
The hospital environment can often impact the levels of hormones during birth.
If you choose to birth your baby in a hospital environment, our birthing beds can be adapted to help you move freely and birth in different positions.
These small changes can make a big difference!
