LaMelo Ball reportedly scared the Timberwolves away during the draft process when he said he wanted to be the President of the United States, per @JonKrawczynski
“So, we know they picked Edwards. But that’s not my little nugget for you all. It’s why they picked Edwards. There were a million different reasons in their evaluation. But one of them was that they had an interview with LaMelo Ball during this process—trying to figure out, ‘Hey, is this the guy for us?’ And LaMelo… did not interview very well. One of the questions they asked him was: ‘Hey LaMelo, after you’re done playing, what do you see yourself doing? What kind of things do you aspire to?’ And LaMelo said: ‘I want to be President of the United States.’”

Most impressive part of this redemption/ image rehabilitation tour is getting everyone to solely focus on the oakmont thing and not this, which happened one month earlier and could have gone way worse
Welcome back to major championship golf, J.B. Holmes!
This week's @USOpenGolf will be his first major start in 7 years.
The 44-year-old former Ryder Cupper's last major start at The Open in 2019 got off to an incredible start before an unfortunate fall. Holmes led after the first and second rounds before shooting 87 on Sunday to fall from third to 67th.
The five-time TOUR winner has made only three cuts in 23 starts over the last four seasons, but one strong day of play at Golf's Longest Day can propel you all the way to major championship glory.
Holmes led the TOUR in Driving Distance in both 2011 and 2016.
Can Holmes turn back the clock and capitalize on this opportunity?
Gary Woodland (right) bombs one past Scheffler and Burns on 14 at Shinnecock. Pointed a rangefinder their way and just pulled out his phone to call them.
