We are researchers working at @ijpb_fr (@inrae_idf) and interested in how Carbon Allocation, Transport and signaling is going on in plant phloem and xylem
🍃 How does sugar transport impact plant drought resistance?
Changes in SWEET-mediated sugar partitioning affect photosynthesis performance and plant response to drought

New preprint for the extension of our prior research. Briefly, in angiosperms nucellus elimination shifted to support endosperm growth. Inhibiting pectin degradation affects nucellus development, suggesting a link between cell wall modification and seed evolution.
We are going to step down from X. You can still follow us on Bluesky at the @catsteam.bsky.social 🙏
Looking forward to continue to interact with you elsewhere

Joe Ecker @JoeEcker, Joseph Swift @_joseph_swift, and team have revealed the genetic details of 30-million-year-old question: How did some plants evolve from less-efficient C3 photosynthesis to C4 photosynthesis? Their findings pave the way for the creation of more robust, efficient plants that withstand the effects of climate change and can feed a growing global population 🌱 @Nature

In this study, led by @ChSeydel@LMU_Muenchen, we resolved subcellular carbohydrate metabolism by combining #electronmicroscopy with nonaqueous fractionation to estimate compartment-specific sugar concentrations during #plant#heat#acclimation-cytosolic sucrose matters!
#IJPB social event
A lot of people gathered to enjoy the first IJPB Afterwork
conviviality moment !!! A true success, congrats to the organizers👏👏
We could enjoy a nice time around question-and-answer game
We are looking forward for next edition 🤪🤪
