@muheediva01 $300 for one room of a four room apartment, after that I moved to Spain for a bit and a whole two room apartment to myself with a view of the river and castle was still cheaper than my apartment in the US
@de3dsoul my cousin sent me back my first console with the original box I sent him when I got my next one (a Dreamcast), so I took the appropriate photo to send back to him
@Pamaj you ordered a $900 console on a platform notorious for not delivering your order and not offering a refund when they fail to deliver your order.
@PhantomNarukami SAAAAME, I love digital I just don't love anticompetitive monopolized markets that double the cost in addition to putting a lifespan on my purchase
@Shamaboy11 if Sony wants to endlessly regurgitate procedurally generated shooter and sport games-- no ill will--I just don't have the extreme ADHD and I enjoy narrative experiences. I'm sure someone will enjoy paying $1,000 for a console and $100 per game for slop
@sgaragarru87 I got the top of the line 2025 Alienware laptop open box clearance from Best Buy and now the same laptop with half the RAM is twice as expensive, I'm pretty sure I'll be set for the next several years
@ZhugeEX very few people care about the loss of physical games. most of us care about the fact that courts around the world are finding that Sony operates an anticompetitive monopoly and witholds 30% of profits from developers while also charging comparatively more
@blacklodgegames the quest for "AAAA" games has failed to deliver better games, just incredibly expensive projects that cannot possibly live up to the hype or justify their expense
how is it that Nintendo delivers some of the best games every year on outdated hardware with smaller budgets
@idonotexistelol they charge third party publishers 30%, courts around the world are finding that their store constitutes an anticompetitive monopoly, and they have delisted hundreds of games in a few years.
giving more money with less competition or oversight has never benefited consumers
@wesleytypes I honestly like buying consoles at the end of their life cycles because there's finally a reason to buy them (lots of good games) and the games are much more affordable! I have every gen PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo (except Switch 2) and everything I play right now is last gen
@indoor_wildling to these people there is no constitution and there are no amendments, they will burn the whole fucking world down if it makes them feel like their team won
@DialgaMarine92@ManaByte fair, I think the distinction is important because Sony is counting every interaction as if it were subscription and digital-only content while active users includes PS5, 4, and even 3 players (like my girlfriend who will never turn on my PS5 she still just wants to play her PS3)
@DialgaMarine92@ManaByte half a hundred million, but yeah it's largely been seeing if we can get enough attention to gain traction. if we can't I'm happy to take my money to a company that doesn't seem to overtly hate their consumers
@ManaByte I'm glad to leave Sony but at best there are a few thousands of us out of tens of millions, I don't expect them to discontinue anticompetitive business practices over me I'm just happy to stop giving someone money who will gladly charge twice as much and tell me to go fuck myself
@xMBGx your game license does not expire if the physical game still works (we get it if MMOs shut down but that is not the case with most of their delisted games), allow other retailers to sell digital editions without the 30% cut from Sony, pretend they care what their consumers think
