I talk about what covid is doing to kids because I know what it's like to be The Always Sick Kid who turned into The Always Sick Adult-- missing huge chunks of my life, not believed or taken seriously, always feeling out of the loop and oh yeah, fucking SICK ALL THE TIME.

These kids are being thrown to the wolves and they need people fighting for them. It really is that horrifyingly simple. But we WON'T. It's not a "can't" thing.

The fact that so few people are fighting for them is fucking devastating. They're on the frontlines of an ongoing mass disabling event. None of this ever had to be this way. These kids deserve so much better than what we're allowing to happen to them.

A better future is possible but it's gonna require people to stay loud about this and fight for everyone affected by covid-- undoubtedly in the billions by now-- and the tens of millions who have died thus far from covid complications.

It's affecting all of us, but no one wants to talk about it. Half a decade of pretending is LONG ENOUGH. Time to reckon with your shit and step the fuck up. If you don't care enough about your own health, do it for your loved ones. Your neighbors. The kids. Fucking SOMEBODY.
