If you are a British citizen or UK resident, please consider signing this petition against a new rule that would mean British citizens need to earn at least £38,700 a year in order for their partner/spouse from another country to join them here in the UK.

The current requirement is less than half of that (£18,600). After almost 6 years of living together in Japan, I desperately want my partner of 8 years to be able to finally join me here in 2024, but with this rule set for “spring 2024” everything is now uncertain.
