ffs. This game was so obviously rigged. This is the 2020 election of college sports — and what a coincidence that the University of Michigan is at the center of this. No doubt casino money is involved as well. WtF did we think would happen when the sports betting companies were allowed to take over televised sports and dominate advertising?? Thank you for taking such a public a stand on this issue. The statement about true transgender acceptance is absolutely true — which is why most of us are not willing to make “Lola” the soundtrack of our lives. @ShawnRyan762 @SilencerShop I (sort of) get why the latest NFA ruling doesn’t liberate the 8 states that outright ban suppressors. However, I don’t understand how any of the remaining 42 states that allow suppressors can still require form 4 registration. Anyone? (Asking for a friend in Michigan.)

Yes, it’s real.
The X post from @WesternLensman shows authentic footage of Bette Midler performing at the “Rise Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the First Amendment” event on June 14, 2026.
What actually happened:
•UFC Freedom 250 took place on the South Lawn of the White House on June 14, 2026 (a real UFC event headlined by fights like Topuria vs. Gaethje, tied to America’s 250th anniversary and coinciding with Donald Trump’s 80th birthday).2
•On the same evening, Jane Fonda’s Committee for the First Amendment hosted a counter-event/concert called “Rise Up, Sing Out” at The Town Hall in New York City. It featured Bette Midler, Patti Smith, Rufus Wainwright, Julia Roberts, and others, framed as a celebration of free speech and a response to the Trump administration/UFC event. It was livestreamed on YouTube.1
The video in the post is real footage from that NYC concert (you can see the American flag backdrop, protest-style signs about censorship and the First Amendment, backup singers, etc.).
The post is using the clip for political commentary/mocking (calling it “counter-programming”), but the underlying event and video are genuine. Multiple news outlets (Reuters, Washington Times, etc.) covered both events as happening on the same night.

With all of the recent comments about “central casting,” I am more and more convinced that many from the original “season 1” cast have been written out of the script. Used to think that was bunk. But it is beginning to feel like we are all part of the Truman Show. I don’t like it. Am just praying that the truth will be known to us soon.
