DEVILS??? I mean it makes a lot of sense! Let’s see if it crosses the finish line.

[Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC]

Sources: New Jersey and Winnipeg are working on a Connor Hellebuyck deal.

We will see what develops.

[The Caveman @cavenhl]

My final guess is Hellebuyck is now #MammothMade - I don’t think Sabres have the balls/Canes have two options they feel good *enough* about.

If Mammoth… what do the Rangers do? Just grind Garand to the bone? Vejmelka?

[Chad DeDominicis @CMDeDominicis]

I missed this live but seeing this clip I will say Paul is right in almost every goal is blamed on Luukkonen. On this app. In the xB Discord. He’s not wrong and idk that’s where we are people are done giving him slack.

However…Jeremy is also correct to call out the extreme opposite of nobody is walking around thinking the Sabres are 10-0 with Hellebuyck let’s be serious.

This is two extreme ends of the spectrum that caused this exchange.

My truth if anyone cares is Luukkonen has given them some saves but it feels like every game there’s 1 or 2 that you feel like man I need you to have that and often is bad timing. Goalies have bad goals it happens but it’s honestly at least 1 every game and that’s not good enough.

[Pete Blackburn @PeteBlackburn]

Strutting in with matching tracksuits & soaking up all the boos just to get pumped 5-1 and told you're illiterate. The beautiful game

[The Caveman @cavenhl]

@TheJoeMarino I don’t remember things like this happening under McDermott

[The Caveman @cavenhl]

Look at how far we have come

[Winnipeg Jets @NHLJets]

Getting his first NHL start today, Connor Hellebuyck!

[The Caveman @cavenhl]

Ah yes the classic spitting to fumbling comparison. We have to teach grown adults to not spit at others ah yes!

[alex brasky @alexbrasky]

Joe Brady says CJ Gardner-Johnson will not be cut by the Bills: “CJ is a member of the Buffalo Bills.. We brought him here for a reason.. He knows he has to be better for this team.. We have to learn from the stuff and get better.. No different than James Cook fumbling.”

[The Caveman @cavenhl]

Everyone talked about that multi-line Draisaitl pass but not this perfect moonball from Tye Kartye to Lafrenire??

[The Caveman @cavenhl]

This is so real dude the second you become concisions in the net you get 25% worse lmao

[Robert Munnich @Robert_Munnich]

Another Devin Cooley banger of an interview 😂

CUT CJ GARDNER JOHNSON

[The Caveman @cavenhl]

Not wrong just feels unfixable.

Even with a more general backcourt violation type rule, but then you’re adding stoppages, which also isn’t good imo. And the problem would exist no matter how many guys are on the ice.

Maybe we revamp it college football/shootout style where one team gets a 4 on 3 power play, then the other team gets a chance to respond. Whoever gets a stop + scores wins? Lol. Then the shootout is gone entirely

[The Caveman @cavenhl]

I thought this was just a Rob Ray thing but I suppose not lol

[lucy⁵³🏒 @seiderstories]

i love when broadcasts do "keys to the game" because its just
- play good hockey
- dont play bad hockey
- this is how you play hockey

[The Caveman @cavenhl]

I tend to believe this is more a ‘luck’ stat with screens + deflections mostly contributing to goals from far out.

But still a super cool number to follow.

[Mike Kelly @MikeKellyNHL]

7 goalies have played multiple games and haven't allowed a goal from outside the slot.
Dobes, Hofer, Luukkonen, Merilainen, Oettinger, Sorokin, Ullmark.
Perfect from the perimeter. Will see how many are left standing after tonight...

[The Caveman @cavenhl]

This is elite

[Derek Lee @Derek_Lee27]

Beckett Sennecke’s new goal song appears to be Dancing Queen by ABBA.

Sergei Murashov first start of season cutup - #LetsGoPens

Super confident at 22 y/o. Explosive but in control. Looked the part against the Jets but it's very early on of course

@TheoAshNFL I didn't entirely agree/disagree with your take on the Purdy throw but if Renner is mocking that opinion with this clip he is proving your point lmao

[The Caveman @cavenhl]

Shocker CJGJ’s mouth is a problem! Who could’ve EVER predicted this?!

[Greg Cover 1 🏈 @GregTompsett]

This won’t be an issue at all 🤦‍♂️
