Our 7th grade students at MHS visited Cave of the Mounds to compliment their study of erosion, weathering, and the geological processes involved in cave formation. Such a cool hands-on learning experience! #mayvillecardinals#mayvilleschools#cardinalpride

OOPS! We do NOT have extended hours tomorrow, Saturday, January 17th, because we have our CAVE AFTER DARK: WINTER ESCAPE, hawaiian themed adults-only event. Sorry!
Due to today’s weather conditions, Cave of the Mounds will be closing early at 12:00 PM. For everyone’s safety, all remaining tours and activities after noon are canceled. Please stay safe, and check our website or social pages for updates.
Due to the forecasted snowfall, we recommend planning your visit before 3 PM tomorrow. At this time, we expect to remain open all day, but if snow accumulates quickly and the roads become unsafe, we may need to close early for everyone’s safety!
Live Music in our cave!
Cave of the Mounds is located near Madison, Wisconsin. Once a month we have Cave After Dark where guests can see the cave, listen to local bands, eat some treats, and cheers to good times. See our website for more information.
We take our customer service very seriously!
Cave of the Mounds is a fun place the whole family can enjoy! We are located off the highway, 30 minutes west of Madison, on your way to Wisconsin Dells, a day trip from Milwaukee or Chicago, and down the street from Mount Horeb!

@RealJamesWoods I had the cutest mom & pop come rolling up to kwik trip in a lemon yellow McLaren during my shift yesterday. It was their 35th anniversary and they were driving back roads seeing the sites. They'd been to Cave of the Mounds and the Mustard Museum.
