@iconoclast575 The arcade WR scores for both B-type and C-type are with Zatsuza. But in the X360 port you can score higher without Zatsuza with A-type and B-type (I think you still need Zatsuza to score the highest with C-type). For B-type it's only about a 100bil gain without Zatsuza.
@CityConnectWest Is the "Matsuri Version" of Muchi Muchi Pork included? I don't see it mentioned anywhere. That is one of the best modes in the Xbox 360 port.
@iconoclast575 Actually, there is a way to get 10k hits on 360/PCB, but it requires about twice as many hypers and one suicide, which rules out a Zatsuza run.
@iconoclast575 ST5 is even worse because you can get 5000 hits in the first section (only ~ 3000 is possible on 360/PCB), and 10k before the midboss (only 7k~8k is possible on 360/PCB). This affects the score of the whole stage significantly.
@iconoclast575 On PCB/360 I usually only have ~5000 hits after using 4 hypers on the first spinning laser turret in ST4. Experts CAN get over 7000 hits here, but it requires extremely precise timing + positioning. On Switch (=Steam ver), I can get 7000+ here with relative ease.
@iconoclast575 Steam ver (and Switch ver) has messed up big lasers in the first part of ST5 (and in ST4). They increase your hits too rapidly when you ride them with a laser-hyper, making scoring in ST4/5 a lot easier than on the PCB or the X360 (and scores not comparable).
@Plasmo_STG Let's not forget that, unlike Ibara (2005) and Muchi Muchi Pork (2007), Pink Sweets (2006) had two programmers: Shinobu Yagawa and Yuji Inoue. Inoue does not get enough credit, sadly.
@DigitalEclipse@ShadowSharkk I hope you will reconsider. Even the basic scanline filter from the SF30th, TMNT, or SamShodown collections would be great to have here. The "TV" filter is too washed out with too many visual artifacts. I also don't like the dark, transparent banding effect that moves vertically.
