Where are all the Buddhists? Where are all the Tibetans who should have come to the Dalai Lama’s defence? Why am I one of a handful of ppl? Yes I am upset.

You’re talking about the proclivities of old age. Do we have a definite diagnosis of Alzheimer’s where ppl lose their inhibitions?

Why now? Why in public? Why aren’t there a line of kids piping up to speak up and say… yes they’ve experienced it too?

@lemonthehippie_ Hey! He’s apologised! I think he’s been in exile and is just so out of touch with societal norms that he did what he did spontaneously without so much as a thought about the backlash he would face. It doesn’t mean that he’s a paedophile!

@Antone_Decque @UltraDane Yeah ok I managed to read it. I don’t really know what to think. He’s apologised to the boy’s parents as well. He’s clearly unaware of societal norms having been in exile. He’s never gonna live this one down though I’m afraid. It’s gonna keep coming up like a bad penny!

@Antone_Decque @UltraDane Well ok…. I don’t have a subscription to the Guardian but he’s apologised. If you’ve read the article, what reason does he give for his actions? Is it a cultural thing? Was it a momentary lapse of reason? Did he think that was acceptable? What?

@lemonthehippie_ And funnily enough, the entire world and his wife are complaining but the parents of the kid who admittedly had to experience a very awkward moment (esp. since it is not in the Indian culture for a kid to be kissed on the mouth) haven’t said anything!

@lemonthehippie_ Yes admittedly it was. But I just want to give this world renowned gentleman the benefit of the doubt at the ripe old age of 87. He’s really not the Jeffrey Epstein and Jimmy Saville of this world. If he were, there would be evidence of it. Abused kids wld use this op. to speak.

@Antone_Decque @UltraDane No I’m thinking like a person who has built up a following and a reputation and the respect not just of Tibetans all over the world but the entire world. Why would a person risk all of that for a French kiss with a minor IN PUBLIC? Has the video been doctored I wonder?
