@VirginAtlantic can you help me please, I’ve tried to call but can’t get through, there is an error on my booking with a name, I can’t edit it online, can someone help to rectify the problem?
#OUB329#B329LeadershipChallenge - big up to Cork Team 2 @Oana_or_banana; really proud to have won within such great sets of calls to action! The outputs prove we can all use 'voice' as a tool to resist manipulation and directions of leadership we don't agree with! 📢 @ClaireA_OU
#OUB329#B329LeadershipChallenge working in a team had many benefits! Through teamwork we saw different angles to the 'problem' of NHS digitisation, this helped us to 'reframe a discourse' (OU, #Wk17) and create a meaningful call to action 📢@Oana_or_banana@ClaireA_OU
#OUB329#B329LeadershipChallenge our challenge is around access for NHS GP appointments within its shift to all online services; how can this be #inclusive given that some can't access or use technology and would rather pick up a phone?.. Have you had issues on this? @ClaireA_OU
#OUB329@B329Leadership#wk16 inspires me to challenge myself: conflict is uncomfortable but it's a key part of democratic practice - by embracing #agonism I can accept input from others to iteratively grow my thinking to achieve better problem solving skills! @ClaireA_OU
#OUB329@B329Leadership#wk16 A benefit of people forming a democratic leadership collective is we learn from each other’s diversity and with a culture of supportive constructive dissent; #pluralising, we iteratively develop our thinking to achieve better outcomes @ClaireA_OU
#OUB329@B329Leadership#wk15 inspires me to be a leader people WANT to follow; like shopping: I follow (shop at) Aldi, but I can be poached by another shop if their offering is better! Being a leader who doesn't use the 4 faces of power prevents losing followers! @ClaireA_OU
#OUB329@B329Leadership I learned the 4 faces of power can be linked; in one job I did leaders exerted dominance, #wk15 revealed how this was linked to subjectification as we were conditioned to willingly follow autocratic leaders, but resistance was always an option! @ClaireA_OU
@sweatybetty please help.. my lovely husband ordered me a gift on 16 Dec, he’s had many ‘tickets created’ still no sign of any despatch of the item! This isn’t the @sweatybetty I know. Latest ticket # 00204617.. trust you can help? 🙏
@sweatybetty My husband today received the same email as previously asking to create an account - he’s done that but there are no instructions on how to get the order, it just says processing - we’re going in circles, please send our order or refund, at this stage whatever is quickest :(
#OUB329@B329Leadership#wk14 To tackle issues I’m inspired to change by using 3 steps: identify, prioritise, categorise. I’m reminded to use Eisenhower’s (1954) urgent/important matrix to prioritise actions; especially when dealing with critical problems decisively! @ClaireA_OU
#OUB329@B329Leadership#wk14 I’ve learned about tame (consult others, delegate; don't reinvent the wheel!), wicked and critical challenges. Some can have elements of each other embedded; a wicked problem may have complexities (i.e., elements of tame but not solved) @ClaireA_OU
#OUB329@B329Leadership#wk12 I'm assessing my leadership: if I work to gain collaborative advantage, it may not always result in a positive-sum outcome because each set of situations is unique, and may produce varying outcomes, rather than the win-win everyone loves! @ClaireA_OU
#OUB329@B329Leadership#wk12 I've learned collaborative leadership can increase chances of win/win outcomes, however may have limitations, e.g. disruption (things may already be good); but do the benefits of collaboration seeking win/win outweigh potential losses? @ClaireA_OU
#OUB329@B329Leadership#wk11 impacts my ideas on dealing with #conflict; we're wired to think it's bad, but as a leader I can be a 'wheelwright' (Grint, 2005) encouraging debate, i.e., in effect sharing leadership, this is important as we live through change together @ClaireA_OU
#OUB329@B329Leadership#wk11 I’ve learned whilst disagreeing with leaders can be uncomfortable, #constructivedissent means followers could unearth innovative ideas, resulting in better outcomes, reinforcing that active followers are important to leaders and teams! @ClaireA_OU
@ImeldaBlack14@ClaireA_OU You're right, my word leader should have been "leader"; this is linking to week 11; "leaders" like this are like Grint's (2005) 'Emperor', putting themselves at risk of destructive consent or irresponsible followers. Thanks for taking time to reply, it's good to chat on this 😀
