@_DIGB There’s a thing I call ‘magic dust’ in International football. Some countries have it, some don’t. In fact only a few have it - like Brazil for example. And Italy. Argentina. And us. I don’t know how we have it, but we do. We see something of ourselves in our team and we love it.
Will never look at the big fella the same again. Doesn’t ever look emotional on the pitch but this piece just sums up what the greatest sport in the world means behind the scenes. Up the Villa!
I blew so much smoke up Love/Hates arse during lockdown. Here’s a reminder a few years on to watch it and how bloody good it is. Stick with the basic production of series one because every episode/series just gets sequentially better.
I criticise a lot of Irish stuff, and I know I'm about 15 years late to it, but been binge watching Love/Hate. It is insanely good. Not just by Irish standards. If HBO did it you'd say wow. By any standards, it's unreal.
Tony Ralston. 25 international caps. He must have thought he won the lottery getting 1. Baffling how he’s got to quarter of a century. Can’t be a worse player in history to have achieved that many.
So let me get this right, you were handed back control of the building yesterday and within hours managed to decide it needs to be demolished, issue a contract to demolish it and find a fitting hi viz jacket for a press day.
Congratulations, one would have expected you took far too long to review the potential options for the building and then carry out a proper procurement process to issue a contract. Amazing
Scotland icon James McFadden has backed in-form Falkirk striker Barney Stewart to play for the senior national team one day:
“He’s got the physicality, work rate, he’s quick.
“When he first went to Falkirk he was a bit running here, there and everywhere.
“You couldn’t help but like the enthusiasm, but the quality was maybe still to come, which it clearly was.
“Now you’re seeing him scoring inside the six yard box.
“When the ball goes wide and he makes his runs, he’s getting tap ins.
“He’s roughing defenders up, he’s playing as a focal point.”
