It's not a narrow circle. Quite the opposite.I dare to suggest maybe it's your own bible group which is small.

@WolfxCapital @AmandaMGoetz Hell no. Not in my circles. I would estimate the majority of stay-at-home mothers are the least happy and most unfulfilled out of all mothers I meet. Lacking agency, no financial empowerment, small support networks.

@BeccaFIynn We only have it at weekends. But even then it does create little monsters. None during the week and Mon to Thurs is calmer. The concept of time is lost when playing, so it feels like they only had 2 minutes and lots of anger ensues.

Mad that in 2024, my nearest non religious school is over a two hour daily commute. My town has 3 Catholic schools and one CoI. The neighbouring villages, about 4, one Catholic school each.

@higginsdavidw I agree. It is important. I would just replace the word woman and mothers with a home maker/parent or some other equivalent. It is an important role and should be recognised as such. As a full time working woman, the choice to remain at home is important and should be protected.

@BeccaFIynn We have a house phone shared for different purposes, mostly youtube cookery videos, and 12 year old also has a Nokia for if he's out without us. He tells his friends house phone is "his", I don't mind! Will get his own over the summe with parental control.
