@JRd79_@JoelMCurzon being gay will never be "normal" to them, every gay person is lumped into the same category - satantic, demonic, degenerate. It is only a matter of time before the right turns on the gays that they've been "tolerating" until now.
@ACC77277@ryan_buell I'm not in a cult and never have been. I just don't want others to use lawfare against me because they're uncomfortable with something that doesn't affect their life. You can be tired of it all you want, but gay people don't stop existing.
@ACC77277@ryan_buell you do really seem to care because you said you'd prefer to go back to when anti-sodomy laws were on the books. Not caring would be to say "I don't care and I'm not going to pay attention" not "things were better when we outlawed that"
@ACC77277@ryan_buell No, I'm not queer, I'm gay. I don't want the law to be used against me because you're uncomfortable. Gay people exist, if you don't want to see us, then stay home and inside.
@ACC77277@ryan_buell America is the land of the free, I don't give a fuck whether you consider it disgusting, you made it illegal, and gay people had to band together to push back. Sorry that makes you uncomfortable, but I have just as much freedom to advocate as you do. I don't eat sweets.
@ACC77277@ryan_buell yes, public fornication does remain illegal in the US. As late as 2003, consensual same sex activity was still illegal in 13 states, with no caveats. The case Lawrence v. Texas highlights a situation where men were in the private residence and still charged on anti-sodomy laws
@ThyPaddyDaddy and just like I tell you I don't care what your god says. Would you ban being gay like it was for decades in this country because of your religious beliefs?
@ThyPaddyDaddy and you should focus on your own problems because people being gay has nothing to do with your life. If you don't want to take part in pride, you don't have to. Yet you felt the need to announce it like a departure in an airport.
