Denver finances and roster
* Spencer Jones contract is a flat $6M in Y1 and declines to $5.75M in Y2.
* He cannot be traded without his consent and is not allowed to be moved to OKC for this season

Even if Jokic intends to finish his career with the Nuggets, I don’t see it. They’re in cap and apron hell. The only way I see it happening is if they trade Jamal and AG for picks + smaller contracts and convince Jokic they can put good young guys around him if they take a step back for year+. They’re right on the edge of where Milwaukee was where they chose to keep going in despite the books instead of taking a step back for year or two to try to reset. I’m sure there were reasons Milwaukee felt they couldn’t take a step back to reset a few years ago. But maybe Denver can convince Jokic on that type of plan.
The New Orleans Pelicans are actively evaluating several forwards in the free agent market as they continue exploring ways to bolster their frontcourt depth, league sources say.
If you compiled a list of players the lakers have reportedly been “interested in” this offseason, I believe the list would be no shorter than 40 players
NBA commissioner Adam Silver says he cannot give a timeline beyond "this summer" for the completion of the external investigation commissioned by the league into allegations of salary cap circumvention against the Clippers with respect to Kawhi Leonard.
The Bucks have explored sign-and-trade scenarios to acquire Peyton Watson from the Nuggets, per @TheSteinLine.
I would list AJ Green and Kevin Porter Jr. as names that could interest Denver if the two sides engage in trade discussions centered on the 23-year-old wing.

When good organisations identify un drafted players like Spencer jones, they sign them for 3yrs $9m without any problems.
It would be pretty disheartening if they can’t get this done
@VojaMedic I think when he cut the weight this last year so rapidly from March to the April, it really affected his rhythm.
If he stays at this weight the whole time, I do think this is the right weight for him. He looks like bubble-2023.
The Nuggets are seeking a “Walker Kessler-type return” for Peyton Watson in any sign-and-trade which included two unprotected first-round picks and two first-round pick swaps, per @JakeLFischer

Ideal cap structure for the Nuggets would be:
Murray
SG making 10-15 mil
PWAT making 20-25 mil
AG
Jokic
Cam and Braun salary redistributed to the bench
Braun being unmmovable really makes it hard though.
