No one knows the impact of the CBA faculty quite like our graduating senior class.

On #TeacherAppreciationWeek, listen to a few poignant remarks CBA seniors have recently made about teachers at the Academy.

Class of 2024 🤝The Pipe Out

There is no dismissal quite like the last day of senior classes at the Academy! It is truly a one-of-a-kind tradition thanks to the CBA Pipes & Drums Band. Certainly a memory that will last forever for the men in the Class of 2024!

“I feel like it will introduce more younger kids into the performing arts department earlier on, so that they can do it throughout high school, instead of just for their last one or two years.” – JP Shimkus '25, CBA actor & musician

Building upon our award-winning extracurricular Performing Arts, we're excited to offer students of all grade levels a chance to enroll in a variety of Performing Arts classes, beginning next school year. From band ensemble to AP Music Theory, the courses are designed to help students build upon existing skills, or even learn something entirely new.

It is with great pride that we announce that - more than six decades after its construction - CBA’s hallowed Varsity Gym will be dedicated in honor of two basketball coaching LEGENDS: Head Coach Vinnie Cox and Head Coach Ed Wicelinski!

Together, these two men amassed almost 1,000 victories, took home eight state championships, and cemented CBA Basketball as a fixture in New Jersey High School Sports. Perhaps more importantly though, they impacted the lives of hundreds and hundreds of student-athletes over their 45 years at the Academy.

Please save the weekend of September 20 & 21, 2024 for the dedication ceremony and celebration of these two legends. And please join us in wholeheartedly congratulating Coach Cox and Coach Wicelinski on this well-deserved honor!

Last Thursday, we were so excited to open our doors to the families in the Class of 2028!

The annual Welcome Night saw over 200 accepted students and their parents join us for an evening of CBA camaraderie, while also being able to hear from our administration, current students and current parents.

Our two student keynote speakers - Michael Tesauro ‘24 and Gavin Brunelli ‘27 - perfectly exemplified what it means to be an Academy man, while our student and parent panelists gave excellent insight into daily CBA life.

We’re already counting down the days until the Class of 2028 joins us in September!

Today, in celebration of our CBA community, we began Catholic Schools Week in the best way possible: a school-wide Mass.

Fr. Garry Koch joined us to celebrate, reminding our students about the value of Catholic education and the community that surrounds a school like CBA.
