I love my home state of Virginia, and one day I hope to say that I have seen and read everyone of its historical markers. I met my wife at Crown College in MN
@donmclean my father was a bluegrass musician and a master banjo picker that mentored Vic Jordan. He had a 1927 Gibson Mastertone original 5-string banjo, and a 1950's Martin D-28. I bought the 45 for American Pie when it was a hit, and I got the album (8 track) in 1979.
@JohnnyBench_5 Hello Mr. Bench......were you the catcher for Satchel Paige when he pitched for the last time at War Memorial Stadium? I have lived in Hampton Roads almost all of my 62 years and I went to War Memorial for the first time a week ago.
@JohnnyBench_5 He was my favorite pitcher when I started watching baseball in the 70's. I had a nerf ball and although I am a righthander, I learned to throw that ball as a leftie at a door in my home imitating his pitching motion with accurate precision.
@RobbySabo I full agree. 24 seconds...no timeouts....sacked twice on previous possession, and he stepped up and threw strikes and had the presence of mind to hustle up the field and spike the ball for the FG. Robby...ask all the haters what they accomplished today.
@Osirian111 I will still watch Will Smith. He defended his wife publicly even though many will judge him for it. Thank you Mr. Smith for loving your wife.
@GasBuddy my map no longer shows all reported stations with their prices. Each time I click on the "map" icon on the main page, it takes me to a map where it states "no stations found".
@ChuckGrassley He and his wife Dorothy moved to Edgewood in 2000 which is the town where they were married. They would have celebrated their 65th anniversary this December. He deeply respected and supported you. So do I because I learned so much from him.
@ChuckGrassley Sen. Grassley, the first time I saw your name was 1981 on a bumper sticker "Grassley Works"on the work van of the man that became my father in law. His name was Alfred Anthes from Parkersburg. He was received into the Lord's eternal care last night.
@GrassleyPress He and his wife Dorothy now live in Edgewood which is the town where they were married. They would have celebrated their 65th anniversary this December.
@GrassleyPress Sen. Grassley, the first time I saw your name was 1981 on a bumper sticker on my soon to be father-in-law's work van: "Grassley Works". His name was Alfred Anthes from Parkersburg. He was received into the Lord's eternal care last night. He loved your work.

@RealMikeWilbon...at the end of the show for TUESDAY OCTOBER 11 you should mention Johnny Bench's homeroom off Dave Guisti over the right field wall at Riverfront Stadium that triggered the Reds victory sending them to the WS. Clemente was in right field...his last game.
@MikaZibanejad....I am a high school teacher, and our school has a student from Sweden. I mentioned that you are one of my favorite players and that you are from Sweden. He said he knew who you are and that you look like a Viking. Looking forward to a great start Oct. 11.
