NEW: 2027 5⭐️ C Darius Wabbington has cut his list of schools down to 6, Arizona. Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, North Carolina, and Texas he announced.
He has scheduled official visits to Arizona and Louisville, although he plans to visit all 6 programs before making a decision early in his senior year:
"Their pitch, their style of play, and the relationships that have been created with these coaches are the main things that have gone into it," Wabbington said. "I'm big on relationships and all of the schools in my top six have done a good job of creating relationships. I am also looking to see if I see myself playing for these schools and I feel that I do."
On Kentucky: "Mark Pope, Cody Fueger, and Mo Williams have all reached out and expressed how they are going to play me. I see what they want to do for me. I could see for myself that it is what I would want to do at the next level. They are really interesting."
"I will prioritize the relationships, Wabbington said of his deciding factors. "That is the real big part that is really important to me. The style of play and the school is also really important to me. I want to fit the program and play in an atmosphere where they have a lot of people at the games and the fans are really supportive."
Kentucky is in a VERY strong spot going down the stretch of Darius’ recruitment, Kentucky staff has made him the top priority at C in this 2027’ Class. Id expect his Kentucky visit to be finalized soon.
